Financial Planning Deliverables

Here’s What You Receive

Depending on the service you choose, you will receive one or more of the following resources. Refer to the service page for details.

One Page Financial Plan

A summary of your financial goals and strategies, presented in a single page. It is a way to simplify and communicate the most important aspects of your financial condition, without overwhelming you with too much detail. A one-page financial plan can help you focus on what matters most, track your progress, and make adjustments as needed. A one-page financial plan can be a powerful way to take control of your finances and achieve your dreams and typically includes the following elements:

  • Your purpose or why for your financial plan. This is your personal vision and motivation for your financial future. It can be a statement, a question, or a picture that captures your desired outcome.
  • Your current condition or where you are now. This is a snapshot of your net worth, income, expenses, debt, and savings. It can be presented as numbers, charts, or graphs that show your financial position and cash flow.
  • Your goals or what you want to achieve. These are the specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound (SMART) objectives that you have for your money. They can be short-term, medium-term, or long-term, and cover various aspects of your life, such as retirement, education, travel, etc.
  • Your strategies or how you will reach your goals. These are the actions and steps that you will take to make your goals a reality. They can include saving, investing, budgeting, paying off debt, etc. They should be aligned with your purpose and current situation, and reflect your risk tolerance and preferences.
  • Your review or when you will check your progress. This is the frequency and method that you will use to monitor and evaluate your financial plan. It can be monthly, quarterly, annually, or as needed, depending on your goals and strategies. It should involve comparing your actual results with your expected results, and making changes if necessary.

Holistiplan Tax And Scenario Reports

Tax planning refers to our review of your tax return to identify potential planning opportunities – both now and in the future – to keep your lifetime tax liability as low as possible. Holistiplan offers two types of reports:

  • Tax reports are generated by uploading a tax return to Holistiplan. The software uses optical character recognition (OCR) to read the tax return and produce a customized report that highlights key details, calculations, and phaseouts from the tax return. The report also identifies potential financial planning opportunities based on your tax situation.
  • Scenario reports are created by using the tax data from the uploaded tax return to run various tax scenarios for the next year and beyond. The software allows us to quickly adjust income and deductions, and see the impact on your tax liability, marginal tax bracket, and effective tax rate. The scenario reports can help us explore different tax planning strategies, such as Roth conversions, charitable giving, or capital loss or gains harvesting.
